Independence Day

Days before the celebration of America's Independence Day, a phalanx of unfriendly alien ships arrive on Earth in major cities across the world and it is up to a scrappy rag-tag group of rebels to engineer a plan to take down the mothership, or risk alien dominance over the entire human race.
