Vera

Bauer (death name: “Vera”) is a transgender man living in a correctional institution for young people. With the support of his mentor, a teacher who recognizes his talent as a poet, he begins working at a research center. Eventually, Bauer falls in love with a young woman named Clara and starts embracing his gender identity, though not without difficulties. One of the earliest portrayals of trans masculinity in cinema, the film is based on the life of poet Anderson Bigode Herzer.
