In a small town, a brigade is working on the construction of a new cultural center. Gerhard loves Karin, the daughter of brigadier Franz, who is not thrilled with the prospective son-in-law. Under the influence of his colleague "Boxer", who wants to go to a big city with him, Gerhard neglects his crane operator course, his work and ultimately Karin too. The failed crane test infuriates him and turns him into a rioter. After quarrels on the construction site, Franz is found unconscious on the crane at night. Gerhard comes under suspicion, but the accident was the fault of "Boxer". When he tries to escape, Gerhard, who has come to his senses, is able to hold him back. Remorseful, they go to the police together. Karin is also reconciled and the wedding is to take place in the finished Kulturhaus.

Hannes has barely met the most beautiful girl when she disappears without a trace. But he can't get her out of his head and does everything he can to find her again. A cheerfully turbulent GDR TV comedy about a group of elderly people who organize their lives with courage and cheerfulness. Trude and her male senior citizens want to redesign a dilapidated old construction trailer in their new residential area to create a nostalgic arbor. Inspired by the term "construction-related art", they also gave their house on wheels a highly artistic exterior façade. And should any problems arise during the realization of the project: "Don't despair, ask Trudchen"! After all, the whole project is just the prequel to a "wedding in old age" that the aforementioned Trude and her groom Heinz want to celebrate.

A film about the experiences of a cab driver who drives a young, heavily pregnant woman who has collapsed in a store to hospital. The encounters during the subsequent search for the future father so that he can take the expectant mother's things to the hospital are shown. The GDR leadership argued that the film should be banned.

German teacher Miss Platzke starts working in a graduating class. Since she is young and inexperienced, the students soon consider her incapable of doing her job. After two failed marriages, Walter is finally looking for a wife again. But his father Paul, who believes his own position in the house would be jeopardized if a daughter-in-law came into the house, cunningly gets rid of all the candidates. Walter has placed an advertisement for a wife, as both the male-headed household run by Walter's father Paul and the upbringing of his adolescent son Peter require a female hand to keep things in order. Grandfather Paul, on the other hand, feels that the cosy trinity and especially his own position in the house would be jeopardized if another daughter-in-law took over the reins. So Paul sets about inventively thwarting Walter's intentions. At first, it is completely inexplicable to Walter why all his encounters with marriageable ladies end in failure. But he has other things to worry about at the moment anyway. His son, Peter, is having an affair with his teacher's daughter, of all people.

In an apartment building inhabited by quarrelsome divorcing singles, the energetic senior Karl Zobawa establishes good neighborly relations. Inspired by a missionary zeal, he tolerates no contradiction. He has set himself the goal of turning his neighbors, most of whom have been through divorce, back into friendly people who can live together again. To this end, he draws up a whole catalog of measures that no one would probably have submitted to if it weren't for an impending press report about the house and its residents.

Berlin’s last barrel‐organ player, Otto Steppke, is to receive the “Golden Cylinder” atop the shining “Berlin Moon” teleballoon above Alexanderplatz. Piloted old‐style by balloon, the gala flight, hosted by the operetta’s Frau Luna, promises Lincke waltzes and Kollos tunes. But Otto’s daughter, his ex Mrs. Pusebach, and intrepid reporter Telemann conspire (along with fickle love and capricious winds) to upend the hour‐long ascent in wild, music-filled chaos.

Professor Heger's son was shot by the Gestapo during the war. Dr. Bram was also responsible for his death. After the war, working in Heger's clinic, Bram tells the professor about his guilt. Considering Bram a traitor, Heger refuses to work with him. Bram flees to West Germany. Soon the professor, who has decided in his heart to stay in the FRG forever, leaves for Munich for the congress. But his meeting with Bram in Munich and the reality surrounding them dispelled his illusions, and they both return to their homeland.

A ship from the GDR fishing fleet is on its way home. The work is done, the hold full of fish. Captain Nipmerow could be satisfied with that, but he has a completely different problem to deal with - a matter about which he also owes the shipping company a statement.

Polizeiruf 110 is a long-running German language detective television series. The first episode was broadcast 27 June 1971 in the German Democratic Republic, and after the dissolution of Fernsehen der DDR the series was picked up by ARD. It was originally created as a counterpart to the West German series Tatort, and quickly became a public favorite.

The show was meant to compete with those on West German television. To this end it was fairly successful even attracting a following in parts of West Germany which could receive Eastern TV. Its production values were high. Apart from song and dance numbers and appearances from East German celebrities, almost every broadcast featured well-known stars from the west, often after their popularity had peaked in their home countries.

Blaulicht is a German crime television drama series, whose 29 episodes were based on crime case files.

The film is set in the 1930s in Germany. Maria Rheine and Mark Löwenthal, two young actors working in a small theater, are in love with each other. Their love affair is interrupted by Nazi racial policies; Mark is no longer allowed to perform in German theaters because he is a Jew. In order to continue acting, he joins the newly formed Jewish Theater in Berlin. Maria, who is not Jewish, faces no restrictions on her career, and she becomes a successful actress at a big theater in Munich. But her love for Mark eventually leads her to decide to sacrifice both career and security to remain close to him. She fakes a suicide, assumes a Jewish identity and, as Manja Löwenthal, joins the Jewish Theater.
