Alexis Papachelas opens "The 17N File," exploring the organization that murdered 23 people, left behind dozens of injured and grieving families with their own open wounds, and haunted Greece for decades. Throughout this documentary series, the threads of the case begin to unravel—starting with the assassination of CIA Station Chief Richard Welch in December 1975, and leading up to the 2002 arrest of Alexandros Giotopoulos in Lipsi and the surrender of Dimitris Koufontinas at the Attica Police Headquarters (GADA). Alongside testimonies from the era’s key figures, the series presents previously unreleased documents and footage from 17 November safe houses, shedding light on the behind-the-scenes actions of the organization that terrorized Greece for 27 years.
