It covers the daily life of a group of children studying at a Mexican primary school ("Escuela Mundial") and their relationships with their teacher, the teacher Ximena (Gabriela Rivero). In the soap opera, several themes about life are touched upon, in addition to highlighting values such as love, trust and friendship. One of the themes exposed in the soap opera is the differences between the upper and lower classes of Mexican society - especially as seen in a romantic relationship between Cirilo, a poor black boy (played by Pedro Javier Vivero), and a bratty rich girl, María Joaquina Villaseñor (played by Ludwika Paleta). It is also characterized by representing each of the children's personalities, among them highlighting the bromist, the traverse, the romantic, the good boy, the sensitive girl, the studious, the disordered, the presumptuous, the gringa, the oriental, etc.
