A TV adaptation of the most famous novel by Władysław Stanisław Reymont, realistically showing a picture of the Polish countryside at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The complicated, often dramatic history of the Boryna family takes place over the course of four seasons against the broad background of the life of the rural community, inseparable from the rhythm of nature.
