The story of Operation Market Garden—a failed attempt by the allies in the latter stages of WWII to end the war quickly by securing three bridges in Holland allowing access over the Rhine into Germany. A combination of poor allied intelligence and the presence of two crack German panzer divisions meant that the final part of this operation (the bridge in Arnhem over the Rhine) was doomed to failure.

The lady must return to the painting, unless certain conditions are fulfilled. A magic drink, which makes them invisible, should help them. Two thieves (who seem to like nothing but cakes) kidnap one of the children to require a ransom. And it is found that a man, the father of Peter Faber (that's the name of an actor too, but not in this movie) is needed for help. That is not easy, since the they are not on friendly terms with Peter and his father.

A series of four stories written by the Dutch writer Heere Heeresma, interpreted by four different directors. A confirmed bachelor bumps into his secretary after work. An old man just wants to be left alone at Christmas time. A former sailor yearns to get back to the sea, away from his clarinet playing wife. A shopkeeper in a rowboat gets into an argument with a postman on a bicycle.

Sherlock Jones is a handyman, a nice man who dreams of doing great things. Together with his dog Watson, he becomes involved in the case of the Karthoum diamond. This legendary stone arrives in the Netherlands to be cut and polished. The mafia attempts to steal the diamond during its transport from Schiphol Airport. They ensure that all security measures are checked by the 'renowned' private detective, because they know he will have no idea what is going on. The robbery is a great success. It's a good thing Watson is there too...

Feature film based on Leon de Winter's book of the same name, in which protagonist Herman Dürer hitchhike south after a stay in a juvenile detention center and ends up stranded in Munich.

Towards the end of World War II, the fictitious French mountain village of Molinette is occupied by German troops. Because of sleep aid, served by his French girlfriend Hélène, the German corporal Karl Küppers misses the departure of his company to Russia. With the help of the purposeful Frenchwoman he becomes Ortskommandant.

When his son returns, Jan is faced with the stark moral choice of failing those to whom he has given refuge, or conspiring with them to kill his own son.
