Mikolás and his brother Adam end up with a young German hostage of noble blood during a robbery. While their clan prepares for the wrath of the German king, Mikolás is sent to pressure his neighbor Lazar into a defense pact. Persuasion fails and he abducts Lazar's daughter Marketa on the eve of her initiation as a nun in an act of vengeance.

Concert master Karel Mašek is a drunk, as well as engineer Danda and other regular guests of the pub U Kroců. Mašek returns from the pub in the morning and promises the woman that he will stop drinking. But he failed again, and the orchestra players refuse to play with him. Danda returns home without a bag and goes to Krocs again in the morning, even though he has an important job at work. He has been degraded to subordinate job position, but he refused to admit it at home.

They have a sad duty - to track down the murderer of the collector Krále, who was found dead and who lost a sum of money on the way from the bank that could interest many people from his surroundings...

However, Martin encounters hypocrisy at every turn and begins to doubt that God exists. His older brother Eda steals money from his father with impunity, his father steals materials from the cooperative building, and even Martin's best friend Kovajs "sins" without scruples. Pastor Hornof tries in various ways to maintain his influence over his sheep, but is hindered by people with a "progressive" socialist mindset. When Martin's beloved Angora rabbits, who have done nothing wrong to anyone, die, the boy's faith is clear. He decides to join a pioneer organisation. All that's left is to keep it a secret from his mother...

In 1944, the popular film actress Hlínová is arrested by the Gestapo for sheltering a Resistance man. A film producer uses his connections with the Nazis to promote her in order to finish the film. Just before the last day of filming, actress Hlínová realizes that she is under constant guard and wants to escape. However, she is arrested again.

A painter, whose art and views diverge considerably from the conventional society of a small American town, is suspected of murdering his wife. When passions are unleashed against him during a local election, he saves his life by fleeing to a cave in the nearby forest and from there, with the help of children whose trust he has gained, he organizes a successful search for the real murderer in the form of a children's game.

The second part of the free comedy cycle about the orphaned siblings Alice and Zbyněk Kučero further develops Zbyněk's relationship with Kateřina, the "lodger" from the previous comedy. After all is revealed and Alice has given her "blessing" to their relationship, she begins to consider the possibility that after Zbynek's wedding, Kate's parents will enter her life. What will they be like? A curious Alice goes "exploring" just as Zbynek starts to introduce his future mother-in-law and father-in-law...
