Rome, 1977. Small town boy Tano joins the far left movement in Rome where he finds an old love and a new friend. His life takes an odd turn when he finds a bold new world, magical and surreal, that's only one door away.

It's Serena's wedding day. The girl is worried about the absence of Nicola, her brother. Turns out she doesn't know that this day, which is so important to Serena, is probably not so joyful for Nicola.

It is evening. Tarek is seventeen years old and is on his way to see his friends, who have asked him on the telephone to pass by the park first and buy a few grams of dope: nothing much, just enough for some fun. The boy buys the stuff in the dark park, but when he emerges finds that someone has seen him: a policeman in plain clothes, sitting in his own car. The man could simply confiscate the hash, intimidate him a little and then let him go, or he could decide to take him to the station and call his parents. But he opts for neither of these things. He tells the young man to get in the car and starts the engine. Where does he want to take him? The policeman is ambiguous, mysterious. What does he want from the teenager? Tarek is in check, he can’t just leave. The policeman makes him stay with him the whole night, driving around in apparently aimless fashion, stopping first in one place, then in another.

One evening, Alma comes home rather upset. She has experienced what happens to many teenagers in life: betrayal. The boy she is dating, Davide, who is a few years older than her, has cheated on her. Lucio and Anna Maria, Alma's parents, immediately take their daughter's side, trying to convince her that in the end it is for the best. Until Alma confesses that she has done something a little risky.

Takes place twenty years after the events of “L’Auberge Espanole,” and follows Tom and Mia, the children of the film’s protagonists Xavier and Wendy, as they spend time in Athens.
