Two taxi driver friends make a promise to the Virgin of Carmen: if Colombia qualifies for the 2014 World Cup, they’ll travel to Brazil to cheer for their team. When the miracle comes true, they must find a way to raise the money and make their dream a reality.

Armando Pulido, a construction master, simple, good-hearted, hard-working, industrious, and a good friend, tired of the serious economic crisis in Colombia, decides to go to New York in search of the so-called "American dream".

While writing a book, Desiree Meredith unintentionally invites chaos into her life.

Lizeth returns home so she can be closer to her mother. But the strange appearance of a little girl's ghost leads her to believe her father is the murderer. She meets her neighbor Gabriel, who offers to help her in search for the truth.

On Gabriel's birthday, he and his friend Jorge Mario are kidnapped by guerrillas who have infiltrated his rice farm. Isolated in the middle of nowhere and with no news of his desperate family, Gabriel must survive however he can and becomes the stylist for the commanders and soldiers. Gabriel insinuates himself into the circles of power to eavesdrop on the commanders' conversations, gathering critical information and trying to find a way to contact his brother in the military so he can regain his freedom.
