Richard Turner

A British ex-convict in colonial Australia and his fragile wife, haunted by the past crime that binds them, struggle to rebuild their lives when a young newcomer stirs long-buried passions and secrets.

Joan Farmer, with the help of her friend Harry Blair, persuades her aunt to turn her worn-out cafe into a trendy espresso bar for teenagers. The opening of the bar allowed the discovery of a singing star, Terry Dene. Later on, the coffee bar was transformed into a recording company. After various adventures, Terry sells a million records in America, and Joan and Harry fall in love.

Pulled from actual case histories and utilizing newsreel and documented narratives, the activities of spies from various countries are depicted as far back as the American Revolution and as recent as the Cold War.

A series of three minute strange tales narrated by Peter Williams.
