Malhação is a Brazilian television series for the teenage audience. The soap started in 1995, and was set in a fictional Gym Club called Malhação on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the location varied slightly. Although the name of the soap remains the same, it is now set in the Múltipla Escolha High School.

Siblings Ana, Sofia and Beto try to outrun conventional relationships, like their parents' 30-year-long marriage, which has just come to an abrupt end.

The first time rarely goes the way we expect—especially when we expect too much. Teresa, Clara, Tuca, and Patty are in a hurry and make a pact: lose their virginity before high school prom night. They just forgot one tiny detail: everyone moves at their own pace.

The filme relates how a victory - winning a scholarship to an elite private school - may become an obstacle race for an impoverished young person.
