Major real-life air disasters are depicted in this series. Each episode features a detailed dramatized reconstruction of the incident based on cockpit voice recorders and air traffic control transcripts, as well as eyewitnesses recounts and interviews with aviation experts.

Nikita is a drug-addicted juvenile delinquent who was accused of killing a police officer in cold blood during an attempted robbery of a pharmacy. She is later arrested and sentenced to death by lethal injection, upon which she was secretly drugged by the government, faking her death. Nikita is then "recruited" by a secret government organization and transformed into a highly skilled assassin who cannot be traced.

Police detective Tom Canboro hails from a Christian family. One night, his eccentric brother-in-law Jason seemingly goes insane and tries to kill his wife, calling her a "hater". Canboro realizes this may be a conspiracy going as far as devil worship, but gets in a car crash. Waking in a strange hospital, years have passed and people all over the world are wearing the mark of 666 on their right hands, and those who don't are killed. Franco Macalusso, the believer in global peace, now controls the world, and is trying to bring the world together as it was at the Tower of Babel.
