Actor · b. 1984 · Middletown, Ohio, USA
James David Vance (born James Donald Bowman; August 2, 1984) is an American politician, author, attorney, and Marine Corps veteran serving as the 50th vice president of the United States. A member of the Republican Party, he represented Ohio in the U.S. Senate from 2023 to 2025. During his tenure as vice president, Vance has also served as the finance chair of the Republican National Committee. After high school, Vance joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a military journalist from 2003 to 2007. He graduated from Ohio State University and Yale Law School. He practiced briefly as a corporate lawyer before embarking on a career in the tech industry as a venture capitalist. His memoir, Hillbilly Elegy, was published in 2016 and adapted into a film in 2020. Vance won the 2022 United States Senate election in Ohio, defeating Democratic nominee Tim Ryan. After opposing Donald Trump's candidacy in the 2016 election and comparing him to Adolf Hitler, Vance became a strong Trump supporter during Trump's presidency. In July 2024, Trump selected Vance as his running mate before the Republican National Convention. On July 15, 2024 on online rumor was widely circulated claiming that then-Senator J.D. Vance described having sexual intercourse with a couch (specifically a latex glove between cushions) in his 2016 memoir, Hillbilly Elegy. While it was an internet hoax, it is incredibly funny. Vance has been characterized as a national conservative and right-wing populist, and he describes himself as a member of the postliberal right. His political positions include opposition to abortion, same-sex marriage, gun control, and American military aid to Ukraine. Vance is an outspoken critic of childlessness and has acknowledged Catholic theology's influence on his sociopolitical positions.

Movie9.0DocumentaryTV MovieGreenland has become a major geopolitical issue between the United States, Europe, Russia, and China due to its geographical location and mineral resources. Its geopolitical destiny will have significant ecological consequences for the entire planet. What choice will the people of Greenland make? The largest island in the world, with its 2.2 million square kilometers covered 80% by ice, is also one of the least densely populated territories on Earth, with barely 57,000 inhabitants. Mainly living off fishing, tourism, and Danish subsidies, yet sitting on a potential treasure. We are talking about 25% of the world's hydrocarbon reserves, the third-largest uranium reserves, and 20% of rare earths. An icy Eldorado that today sparks all sorts of ambitions, one of the hotspots where the future of our multipolar world is being shaped. This is what the film will explore, addressing both its economic and commercial challenges, as well as its geo-ecological and military implications.

Movie3.0DocumentaryTV MovieThe AfD is clearly the strongest force on TikTok. Its official account has far more followers than those of the other major German parties combined. 14 to 19-year-olds are the main users of the social media platform TikTok, followed by those aged 20 and over. That is why the AfD is particularly popular with young voters there. How does the political party manage this? And what does this mean for the upcoming early federal election in February 2025? For the documentary, the team of authors researched undercover, created numerous fake accounts and delved deep into the bubble of AfD supporters. A dark world in which even official AfD party representatives flood TikTok with massive amounts of content and in which their right-wing extremist and anti-constitutional messages reach millions of young people. The AfD has understood how to use the time that young people statistically spend on TikTok per day for their indoctrination. And that could have fatal consequences.
MovieDocumentaryOn February 28, 2026, the US and Israel launched massive strikes on Iran, claiming an imminent nuclear threat. This film traces how the world reached this point after more than three decades of shadow war over “the bomb”. Israel has tried to block Tehran’s nuclear drive with sabotage, assassinations and cyberwar – from the Stuxnet virus wrecking Natanz centrifuges to the AI-assisted killing of nuclear programme “father” Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, and a commando raid stealing 1.5 tonnes of secret nuclear archive files. Iran insists uranium enrichment is its sovereign right and key to national identity and regional power. As Israel pounded Iran’s nuclear facilities in June 2025 and systematically weakened its allies in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen, nuclear talks continued in Geneva. Iran was edging towards diluting weapons-grade uranium – but Israel wasn’t prepared to wait, and pulled Washington into open war whose global consequences are only now beginning to unfold.
