The death of a winemaker leaves Sifkovits unmoved – what with a fermentation gas accident, there's something going on, or in this case, something in the vine! Of course, the "Burgenland Columbo" isn't deterred by trivialities like his boss's order not to investigate under any circumstances.

In the second part of the successful children's book adaptation, Franz, Gabi and Eberhard go on a turbulent hunt for criminals during the summer holidays – and uncover a completely different secret in the process.

Salzburg. A few weeks before Christmas. Franz, in his late forties, secretly dreams of a career as a rock guitarist, but in real life he ekes out an unsuccessful existence as a music teacher. In addition, his marriage to Linn is in deep crisis and the pubescent daughter Julie hardly speaks to her parents.

A complicated marriage: She has a tumor, he is gay, both of them are keeping it a secret. When their only daughter moves out, he is ready to come out. But that is not going to happen. He arranges a date for a bizarre role-play and she is spying on him, firmly believing that he is having an affair with a younger woman. The chase is on.

Franz is by far the smallest in the class, has blond ringlets and gets a high-pitched squeaky voice when he gets upset. Luckily, two best friends help: Gabi and Eberhard. When Franz discovers Hank Haberer's "10 rules for a real man" for himself one day, turbulence is inevitable and the friendship of the three gets into trouble.

Something terrible happens at a Croatian wedding in the municipality of Stinatz: the bride disappears without a trace after “stealing the bride“. None of those present can explain what could have happened to her.

Olga Kosanović reveals the unfair absurdity of Austria’s right to residence. The single father Vladimir wants to work to be able to stay in the country with his daughter. But if he doesn’t have a residency permit, he’s not allowed to work. From this paradox, the film filters a humanistic indictment of cynical domestic policies in the land of insurmountable peaks.

On December 24, in the middle of the supposedly quietest time of the year, anything is possible! And this is exactly what the episodic film "Schrille Nacht" tells in seven short stories.

Georgy Hillmaier, single again, returns to Vienna after a long stay in Thailand. Completely penniless, without a job or place to stay, he ends up on the street until he learns that he has meanwhile become a father. The German ex-top model candidate Luna imagined it completely differently. She stands at the train station in Linz with all her luggage because she was promised a place in an influencer shared apartment. But Luna has too few clicks, too few followers and too little fame, which is why she's thrown out of the shared apartment before she's even been inside. Things are also going differently than expected for programmer Heribert, because he actually wanted to present the app idea at a pitching contest at Ars Electronica Center that would free him and his development team from his boring help desk job. But his pitch is at first pathetic, then embarrassing and ends in a faux pas with a shitstorm. And so he and his colleagues are thrown out before they can even develop. When the completely inexperienced but fearless would-be influencer Luna Heribert discovers first in the viral video and then in real life in Linz, she makes him an offer because she knows: we are better together than alone!
