Vic Rooney (1935 – 23 November 2002) was an Australian television and film actor, best known for his role as Ernie Patchett in E Street (1989-1993). He was married to his E Street co-star Chelsea Brown in 1994 until his death.

When the pilot episode was remounted later in 1984, Chris Haywood wasn't available and the lead role was re-cast to John Wood.
