After wrecking his car in a deserted road in the middle of the forest and being found with the blood and mobile phone of his niece, successful criminal lawyer Daniel Elias can no longer remember who he is but must find a way to prove his innocence, even though he does not know whether he is guilty or not.

History teacher Jurre and public prosecutor Sarah each battle the criminal world in their own way. Although the two have been married for years, they keep their double life a secret from each other in order to protect each other and their family. The situation is getting more and more dangerous and their children are no longer safe either.

The arrival of a mysterious stranger compels a protective mother to confront the demons of a distant past, and embrace the opportunity for a hopeful future.
