He reunited with his old acquaintance Giichi Nishihara and began making films with Aoi Films. The cast and crew, including the actresses, were all young and fresh. The industry was changing due to the onslaught of pornography from major studios. Around this time, Kobayashi, as if he had given up on trying to hide it, began to film women's naked bodies in a way that seemed to caress them.
