In the early 1960s, national newspapers were printed in Istanbul and delivered by van to various provinces across Anatolia; in many places, readers would only receive their newspapers days later. The film focuses on the drivers of the various newspapers who were locked in a fierce race against one another amidst this hustle and bustle.

Based on the novel by Güzide Sabri Aygün, the film tells the relationship of a mentally-ill woman and the doctor whom she loved in her youth.

The film tells the story of two lovers who portray each other as wealthy individuals. Nevin works as a secretary to support her siblings. However, she is unable to hold down a job for long. She frequently encounters difficulties with philanderers. Eventually, she begins working for Ahmet Bey, a journalist and writer. She has also seen Murat in Ahmet Bey's apartment building. The two young people are attracted to each other. However, both of them have made a mistake about the other. Nevin and Murat resort to a small lie because they think each other is wealthy. Nevin introduces herself as Ahmet Bey's daughter, and Murat as jeweler Osman Altınzade. This lie, which began as an innocent game, gradually turns into an unsolvable mystery.

Now that he is wealthy, he decides to marry her. Because he is busy with work, he sends his brother Ekrem to Bursa to be with Leyla. When Ekrem arrives in Bursa, he learns that Leyla has gotten married. Therefore, he decides to marry his older brother to Fatoş, whom he met at a nightclub. He convinces Fatoş to marry him, and they go to Istanbul together. However, nothing will go as Ekrem planned.

Parla's father Osman took Parla from her real mother Gül and married Hayriye. Hayriye treats Parla very badly. Osman, who is involved in smuggling, gives Parla her mother Gül's address as he lies dying after a gunfight. Parla sets off on her journey, evading her stepmother Hayriye, and encounters Ahmet along the way. Meanwhile, Gül is also searching for her daughter. On the other hand, Gül's lawyer Avni wants to get rid of Gül and Parla so he can inherit Gül's uncle's estate.

His goal is to find his uncle here and inherit his father's inheritance from him. Although Fatma finds her uncle, she cannot inherit her father and is forced to work as a maid in this house. His uncle's son Ali and Fatma fall in love with each other and decide to get married. Ali's family sends him to their factory in Iran to prevent this marriage. He also kicks Fatma out of the house.
