Movie7.5DramaFormal portraits, bookends in this 80-year saga, enclose the central story, which opens with the baptism of Carlo, a baby in his grandfather's lap, and ends with Carlo as a grandfather with a baby in his arms. And never once do we get out of the house, whose rooms provide structure. Comfort or passion? Carlo can't really decide until it's too late.
Movie7.4DramaAdventureAt the end of the war, Odysseus, the wandering hero, with his companions begins his sail back home to the Mediterranean. The conclusion of his adventure is delayed by many natural obstacles and he takes an internal journey of fleeting memories of his childhood, his parents, love for a beautiful girl, nostalgia for the past, regret for what he did, and the deep silence that envelops everything. He confronts the most terrible loneliness following a shipwreck in which all the comrades perish.
Movie9.0DramaAfter the death of their parents and to escape a forced and inevitable separation, Bruno, twenty-four, and his sister Irene, fourteen, flee the city. The two orphans live by wandering and committing petty thefts and robberies, almost for fun. The agreement between the two is not perfect, because there is someone who would like to go back. But the game will become more and more serious and will lead them to death. A small example of independent and courageous Italian cinema. The structure is that of a road movie (the place crossed in this case is Molise), but the directors focus above all on the humanity of the characters, lingering on their faces.
