Tragedy doesn’t come any more Dickensian in tone or Shakespearian in scope than this dark social drama of the disintegration of a little family of four. What seems like a routine task turns out to be much more difficult, especially when a veterinarian, a butcher, and a prostitute get involved in the story. It sounds like the beginning of a joke, but the matter is very serious. After all, this is a story about cancer.

On a business trip in a remote Mediterranean resort he gets involved in a fatal relationship with Melitta, a young hotel owner, and mayor, who proves to be his officially missing father.
