MovieMika Manner is a successful rock star who performs in the biggest arenas in Europe's largest cities. He has achieved everything in life, fame and fortune, but despite this, an inexplicable longing gnaws at his heart. Mika comes into possession of a diary written in the summer of 1939 by a young woman named Minna, who was full of life and joy. Mika devours the text until it suddenly ends. On a whim, he pours out his heart and writes after Minna's last words, and in no time at all, Minna's reply appears on the pages of the book. This marks the beginning of a unique connection between two different times: Mika in present-day Finland, surrounded by technology and abundance, and Minna in the peace of the countryside, at the dawn of independent Finland, moments before the darkest turning point in history
