A recently separated Argentinian man and woman, with their two teenage children, go on a family holiday to Florianópolis, Brazil, where they become delightfully and problematically involved with the family from whom they rent a house.
Jack Chester, an overworked air traffic controller, takes his family on vacation to the beach. Things immediately start to go wrong for the Chesters, and steadily get worse. Jack ends up in a feud with a local yachtsman, and has to race him to regain his pride and family's respect.
To make up for lost time with his four children, a charismatic car salesman organizes a Caribbean yacht trip that quickly spirals into an out-of-control adventure filled with mix-ups, laughs, and second chances.
