Dafna, until recently a promising investigator in the Tel Aviv police, finds herself in the Afula police. She spends her days looking for shelter from the scorching sun, investigates minor crimes and repels the nagging question "How is it that you are not married and have no children?". The mysterious disappearance of Orli Elimelech, a beautiful and stormy war widow, raises another question: "How is it that no one is looking for her?".
