Nafisa Al-Kharbutli marries a poor singer and elopes with him. Her husband dies shortly after the birth of their son Yusuf, and poverty becomes a constant companion to her and her child. She tries to contact her family without success, as they have disowned her and considered her dead. She begins to educate her child about the family tree, and as he grows up, he devises a complete plan to get rid of the remaining men of the Al-Kharbutli family.
