Die Herrlichkeit des Lebens

1923: Dora Diamant and Franz Kafka meet by chance on the Baltic Sea beach. He is a man of the world, she is from the Deep East, he can write, she can dance. She has both feet firmly planted on the ground, he is always hovering slightly above it. She embraces the indicative, it gets tangled up in the subjunctive. But as the two get to know each other, all differences become irrelevant. They are granted a single year until Franz Kafka dies far too early.
