Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)

A once-famous American actor, Riggan Thomson, who was most well-known for playing the superhero Birdman in a film trilogy in the 1990s, attempts to recapture his fame, while battling his own ego and attempting to make amends to his estranged friends and family, before the opening of a Broadway play.
