The unfamiliar music historian Jakob becomes unemployed and desperately needs money. A music producer sends him to Istanbul to look for a Turkish pop summer hit. As called for, the pretty Turkish girl Didem also comes up with an offer to take over his apartment for so long: her parents want to see that things are going well in Berlin. After his return, Jakob willingly pretends to be her friend: he has long been in love. Unfortunately, Didem's father is extremely jealous.
