La Sposa

The drama, set in the 1960s, follows a story of love and redemption. On the death of her father, Maria Saggese is forced to break the promise made to Antonio, her great love, and to marry Italo Bassi, a cold and taciturn man, marked by the loss of his first wife. In a difficult world, where violence, racism and hostility are rampant, Mary tries to lead an ordinary and serene existence. Antonio's unexpected return is destined to change the course of events.
