The progress composition is similar to "Nightline" (the time when Ted Koppel was in charge) of ABC News in the United States. The caster is Yuko Kunitani, a freelancer who has been working at NHK since the 1980s. On the first broadcast of the week (Monday), the caster name is displayed with a furigana (including the case of a substitute caster).
