The happy idyll of the Sandgrubers is about to end. Hansi's sister Kathi meets her old school friend again and wants to move in with him in Munich. Periodist Christl gets the job offer of her life from editor Harald and also wants to leave Schönbichl. With a heavy heart, Hansi realizes that he must not stand in the way of his Christl's career and that Kathi has a right to love. But for his mother Irmi, a world collapses. Suddenly nothing is the same anymore...
