Johannes Rebhuhn looks back on a sad 'career' as a crook with multiple convictions. Nevertheless, psychologists are convinced that one day he will find his way back into society, and get him a small post in a clinic for rehabilitation. Through a mix-up, the impostor is mistaken for a famous brain surgeon and invited to a developing country as such. When he is supposed to carry out an extraordinary experiment there, Rebhuhn gets into serious trouble...
