Arvo Pärt, an Orthodox Catholic and deeply believer, has been on the world music scene for 25 years, lending his music to Tom Tykwer, Gus Van Sant or Michael Moore. This documentary portrays the man as well as the musician: Pärt writing a score, remembering his childhood, arguing with his wife about the ideal seasoning for tomatoes, chatting about his influences, about his style, rehearsing with established musicians and young talents, saddened because the camera cannot transmit a scent. Arvo Pärt, a genius, remembering the words that a street sweeper said to him: "a composer must love each and every sound".
