Young director Nicola leads a film team to interview Matthieu, restricted to a wheelchair and life in his windmill. Time and missed shots of the four seasons make Nicola realize the futility of his project. The film is more and more out of his control. He progressively falls into a quest of burlesque and poetic illumination.
