In ancient Egypt, the pharaoh Amenophis III, undermined by disease, allowed himself to be dispossessed of power by the powerful vizier Burkis and by Moffi, a fanatic and xenophobic priest. The latter manage to assassinate Prince Aker without achieving their ends: the unexpected appearance of Anhur, Aker's twin brother, will foil all their plans. Through this fantastic story, the film is a reflection on fanaticism and obscurantism.
