Mondo Meyer Upakhyan

Lati is a fourteen-year-old daughter of a prostitute from a Bengali brothel in a corner of India. The girl desperately seeks a better life than her mother's and for this reason she refuses to be sold to a rich man who would solve all the financial problems of her family. Lati runs away from home and her attempt to flee coincides with the man's first trip to the Moon in 1969. Nagen, the school teacher, is the one in charge of helping Lati, offering him the opportunity to travel to Calcutta to continue with His studies.
