Der Bockerer IV - Prager Frühling

In 1968, after many attempts, Bockerer finally decided to marry his longtime widowed housekeeper, Anna. Gustl, whom he had taken in as a son after the war, was about to open a butcher shop in the small Czech town of Kostelec and invited the Bockerers to spend their honeymoon with him and Elena. The "Prague Spring," which everyone was talking about at the time, promised a wonderful honeymoon, and their friend Hatzinger was also brought along. Soon after arriving in Kostelec, Bockerer realized that "communism with a human face" was still just a pipe dream.
