Chantal is employed one summer to look after 16-year-old Paul who is suffering from an incurable illness that contributes to his violent, aggressive temperament. To help she tries to befriend him with Nelly, the family cook. To escape the oppressive reality of her job, she dreams of her favorite singers and other popular idols who reassure her the time it takes to sing a few songs. Meanwhile she is seduced by the teenage boy.
