1976 · Released · 29 min

In the beginning of the Twentieth Century, many immigrants (Italian mainly, Portuguese and Spanish) arrive in São Paulo looking for better conditions of life. They try to settle in the field, but the landlords do not sell lands for them. They are hired to work in the agriculture (coffee, cotton etc.) in horrible working conditions and very low salaries. They move to the city of São Paulo to work in the industry (Crespi, Votorantin, Matarazzo) and leaded by anarchists, they form the working class in Brazil, organizing strikes and fighting for better working conditions and salaries.
