Do or Die (2001)

Two-part UK drama set in London and Sydney spanning seven years. When their young son is diagnosed with leukemia, Dr. Samantha Sheppard (Ashfield) is forced to admit to her husband (Speer) that he is not the boy's biological father. That would be a convicted criminal (Long) who escapes from jail just as Samantha arrives in Australia to seek his help. Desperate, Samantha tries to track her ex-lover down before the cops can find him.
