Le Polock

The Polock recounts the tumultuous life of Wojtek Gorski, a young Polish peasant who left his native country in 1933 with the aim of becoming richer with his family and offering his family a fertile land. Upon landing in Canada, the young immigrant does not suspect that fate has in store for him a completely different path here in Montreal, where he falls in love with a young woman and, at the same time, arouses the fierce hostility of his step- family.
