Life seems to go well for the talented bouzouki player, Kostas Petrou--he is about to get married to his beautiful fiancée and lovely singer, Marina; his hard work is finally starting to pay off, and above all, he has a steady job. However, one tragic incident at the tavern where he works will turn Kostas' world upside down, sending him behind bars for three years. Convicted of negligent homicide, Kostas finds himself trapped in a world of self-pity, and what is even more disheartening, he is convinced that Marina is seeing another man.
