Un Grand Amour de Balzac

First meeting of Honoré de Balzac with the Countess Ewelina Hanska took place in 1833 in Neuchatel. The author of "Father Goriot" could not remain uninterested to her. After a few minutes of conversation, Mrs. Hanska already knew that she will not let this relationship ended on a single conversation. Soon their love was put to the test. Balzac and Mrs Hanska had to part up for seven years. Only thing left was correspondence, that upheld their feeling.
