Das Erbe der Guldenburgs

The series follows the von Guldenburgs, a German aristocratic family living on their ancestral estate, Guldenburg Castle. Family patriarch Count Martin von Guldenburg oversees the family’s businesses, including a stud farm, brewery, and a controlling stake in a private bank. Unknown to his family, the Count is hiding serious financial problems. After his sudden death in a car accident shortly after his 60th birthday, the family discovers they are on the brink of ruin. His second wife, Christine, lives at the castle with their children, Alexander and Susanne, while his adult children from his first marriage, Thomas and Evelyn, struggle to protect the family’s future. Martin’s brother, scientist Dr. Max von Guldenburg, offers guidance when needed, while the Count’s elderly mother strives to preserve the family’s traditions.
