Elfi Ortlieb (Uschi Glas) is a saleswoman in a sports shop and has always gotten the wrong men. Raimund Sommer (Elmar Wepper) is an unsuccessful master carpenter in Munich. The two fall in love and soon marry. The insurance agent Herbert Dirscherl (Helmut Fischer) is Elfi's ex-boyfriend, who is now married to Traudl (Veronika Fitz). At first he is still jealous, but then becomes friends with the couple. Answald Hornung (Siegfried Rauch) is Elfi's boss.
