A continuation of a saga about Budulai started in "Gypsy" (1979).

This is a romantic biographical film about Franz Liszt. In a distinguished saloon of Paris, the unknown composer, Liszt, defeats the renown Thalberg at a piano competition. Through his playing, he wins the favours and later the hand of the countess D'Agoult. A daughter is born in their marriage, Cosima. Liszt is better and better known, Marie introduces him to the circle of artists.

The fates of two women: Ilinka, a member of the partisan movement, the mother of two adopted children; Varvara— the chairman of the collective farm, secretary of the district party committee...

A story about old Gypsy man Budulay, his troubled life and the difficult love to Russian woman.

Historical drama about the Tatarbunar uprising in southern Bessarabia in September 1924. The plot is based on the complicated relationship between two brothers standing on opposite sides of the barricades. The betrayal of one of the brothers led to a spontaneous uprising of the poor, which swept the entire south of Bessarabia and was brutally suppressed by the punitive occupation forces.

The main motive of the film - a tragic love of Lesya Ukrainka to Marxist revolutionary Sergei Merzhinskiy. The film is about the poetess' trip to her beloved, in the literal and metaphorical sense at the same time.

Oleg, the host of a TV show is asked to cover in his show a new ultramodern amusement park called "Park of the Soviet Period". The life in the park is an exaggerated version of the soviet life - pioneers parading, girls selling soda water on the street, socialist banners are everywhere, communist party decisions, free medical procedures, etc. When Oleg falls in love with a nurse he discovers that the rules of the Park forbid any personal contact with the staff, that was trained to live a very different life compared to the life in the world outside. As he fights to gain the heart of the nurse he finds deep flaws in the Utopian atmosphere of the park and decides he must do something about it.

A locker room janitor at the train station notices that a suitcase was put in a locker by a man, but pulled out by another man. This suitcase appeared to be stuffed with money. This incident allows a police detective to uncover a huge criminal organization responsible for theft, smuggling and murder.

For more than six months, Budulay, who had been brutally beaten by gangsters, had no memory. A chance encounter with his son Vanya, who had learned from his mother that his real father was Budulay, restored the boy's memory.

The chairman of the collective farm, Aneykey Luzgin, is willing to do anything to show off in front of the authorities. He plans to exceed the upcoming quota, ignoring the fact that this will harm his fellow villagers. However, the collective farmers have already realized that the command-administrative system is rapidly becoming a thing of the past, and they decide to put the arrogant chairman in his place. The conflict escalates quickly, and the secretary of the district committee gets involved in the confrontation.
