Every now and then, occurrences take place on the streets, alleys and highways of this city like the accumulation of moss on a concrete wall. Though majority of these fresh deposits appear true to us, they could really be otherwise. Nonetheless, wrapped under the folds of these truth and lies, three tales are carved to be called “Ei Muhurte”.

Emil came to Dhaka from Khulna to receive the prize of essay competition titled 'Don't Capture Free Birds'. On the way back, he lost 500 taka on the train. The money was given by his mother to his grandmother. Then the rescue operation started. He finds a group of local children in Dhaka as his companions.

During the 1971 liberation war of Bangladesh, in a remote village, a landlord collaborated with the Pakistani army. After the death of his brother, he married his sister-in-law who had a young son. A teacher in the village, with a widowed daughter, taught the young man had a daughter. When the war broke out, the young man joined the Bengali guerrillas, shattering his innocence. In the village, the landlord's action get worse and worse, until he kills the teacher and compels the daughter to marry him. Now the young man must return to his village with new determination.

A mother and her son return to their home in Sylhet, Bangladesh after 15 years abroad and try to retrace their roots. Beginning with the death of the father of the family, the film proceeds with the central characters seeking a link to their lives.

A 90's iconic slice of life genre drama directed by the famous Novelist of Bangladesh, Humayun Ahmed, based on his own novel, Nokkhotrer Raat (Starry Night), centered around the ups and downs of a middle class family of six, casting Abul Hayat, Asaduzzaman Nur, Sarah Zaker, Shomi Kayser and many popular faces from the 90's. The story starts by showing a typical day of a middle class family and it unfolds by revealing different chapters that a family goes through, from day to day life, thereby unfolding an extraordinary tale of love, sorrow, struggle, crisis, heart break, sudden demise, and above all, unity and integrity, out of a seemingly ordinary family.

Translated as "The man who would not die", Ayomoy was a popular Bangladeshi TV serial, written by Humayun Ahmed and originally aired on Bangladesh television. Blending fact with fiction it is set in the period of British raj, the story centres around a declining Bengali zamindar family .
