16 years after “Love of the Children“, the drama tells the story of Mira and her patchwork family. She has recently taken over the management of a supermarket. Her relationship with her husband Tarik and her two daughters gives her support. But a single weak moment in which Mira fails to tell the truth leads to other half-truths and lies until everything blows up in her face.

When a salon refuses to hire her because of her plump figure, irrepressible hair stylist Kathi plots revenge by opening her own beauty parlor next door. But when she faces a cash-flow problem, Kathi resorts to some creative means of raising capital.

Three young men, all of them outsiders, become friends: Richy (16), who is teased at school, Tim (16), who has moved from the west with his parents and has difficulties getting used to his new life, and Marco (18), who has problems coping with his parents' separation and the rejection he experiences from his father. One of her victims is the separated father of Milka, a brat with razor sharp tongue. From this unlikely start a friendship forms and Bica gets a glimpse into a world of material security, if not emotional closeness...
