Fate brings these two men together on the same doomed train, but there is little time to resolve their differences, as the tunnel begins to quickly fill with water, forcing them to work together with the others and find a way back to the surface.

Many consider the platoon to be "charmed", because its fighters manage to perform the most difficult tasks, take "tongues" and carry out sabotage behind enemy lines, returning even from the most disastrous situations. However, in reality, not everything is so simple: outings often end in failures, wounded and dead friends have to be borne by themselves, and each new task turns into a game with death. Their enemy is always treacherous, but resourcefulness, ingenuity and the help of friends help them not to lose faith in their cause and in victory.

The film is set in 1957. The plot centers on mysterious crimes taking place in a small town, which are being investigated by policeman Balakhnin and KGB officer Mitin.

2016, Russia, Cosmonaut Training Center. Another international crew (three Russian and two American cosmonauts), led by Commander Gennady Yashin, is preparing for launch to the ISS. During the preparation for the flight, it suddenly turns out that there is a psychological "time bomb" inside the crew, associated with serious difficulties in the family relations of the expedition participants and endangering not only the fulfillment of a mission of national importance, but also their lives.
