Vienna, 1956. After Soviet tanks crush the Hungarian uprising, soldier-of-fortune Michael Reynolds is hired to help a threatened Hungarian scientist escape from Budapest.

Both Scotland Yard and an amateur American sleuth are tracking a master criminal known as The Frog. This moniker refers to the bulging-eyed mask worn by the evildoer, and is reflected by the frog icons painfully tatooed onto the forearms of his henchmen. The trail leads to the country manor of an enigmatic, steely-eyed nabob, whose repressed son has eyes for the artistes at the Lolita cabaret, and whose lovely daughter captures the fancy of both the American playboy and the villain himself. Murder, kidnapping and seduction ensue.

Baron Holberg, who looks back with pride on a long family tradition as hotel thieves, is horrified when his daughter Doris falls in love with the lawyer Robert Hammond, of all people, rather than choosing the art thief Sammy, as he would wish. Under the pretext that they are being pursued by the police, he lures his daughter away from the lawyer, but when he confesses the deception to her, Doris immediately sets off for Hammond's country estate near London. However, Hammond's father is not too fond of the connection either...

The Danish resistance movement stepped up its activities towards the end of the war. One night, an English agent arrives by plane, is injured and is taken in by local resistance fighters. The unscrupulous bar owner Otto Grolbek hires the masseur Janos Klewe to murder his landlady. He then wants to inherit her and get his hands on some urgently needed money. But things turn out differently than planned: Janos is killed during the attempted murder in Portugal and Vera returns to Germany terrified. Now Otto has to commit the crime himself and kills his landlady. He disguises the crime perfectly, but has not reckoned with Inspector Mungowski's subtlety ...

At the age of 17 Inge falls in love with her teacher.

Das Kriminalmuseum was a German television series. It ran from 1963 to 1970 on ZDF and was one of its first programs. Each episode began with a tracking shot through an unspecified crime museum, stopping at one of the displays, whose story was then told. Each episode was between 60 and 75 minutes long and featured different actors as the criminal commissioner. The best known was Erik Ode, who in 1969 moved to Der Kommissar, appearing in 97 episodes. The theme music of the series was written by German composer Martin Böttcher, who also composed the complete scores for five episodes.

A prisoner of war is sentenced to 25 years in the Soviet Union. His escape from the Soviet gulag takes him through the intense and hopeless terrain of Siberia.
